Buckingham Palace restrictions on picturing the Royal party during the Service mean that we were unable to take close-ups in Church.
The video of the Service, which also contains a brief history of the Priory, is available from the Bell Tower Bookshop. A high quality CD is also available. Please email lancasterpriory@yahoo.co.uk for details.

After the Service, the Royal party moved on to Lancaster Castle where Her Majesty received the Keys of the Castle from her Constable, Eric Jones. Then they met the people of Lancaster in Market Square and took lunch in the Town Hall where the music was provided by young musicians, some of whom were Choristers in the Lancaster Priory Choir.

The visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 23rd July 1999 is commemorated by the restoration of a canopy and sounding board over the Jacobean Pulpit.
